Is it Possible to Retrieve Deleted Text Messages? - How to Go About Retrieving Deleted Text Messages

Are wondering whether you can retrieve deleted SMS? Need to know is It possible to retrieve deleted text messages? If so then you're in the right place as in this article I will show exactly how to go about retrieving deleted text messages. So keep reading to learn how to get your lost SMS's and other Sim Card Data back.

Firstly let me explain how it is possible to retrieve deleted text messages. You see a Sim card doesn't immediately erase a file once you delete it. Instead it just frees up the space that was occupied by that file (massage) and lists its space as available re-usable space. However until that space is overwritten by new data, in your case new messages, phone numbers etc., your old deleted file is still there and can be recovered.

Now in order to get the deleted messages back you are going to need two tools. One of them is a USB Sim card reader and the other is a decent Sim Card recovery program.

Is it Possible to Retrieve Deleted Text Messages? - How to Go About Retrieving Deleted Text Messages

Sim card recovery programs are very similar to Data recovery software but they are designed specifically for recovering data from Sim Cards. They are able to recover deleted text messages, deleted phone numbers, call logs and plenty of other deleted data from your SIM, and they can do it all at the click of a few buttons.

The good news is that most of these programs offer a free trial version for download, so you can check to see what messages are retrievable right now.

Therefore if you were wondering is it possible to retrieve deleted text messages then wonder no more as it can easily be done with the right tools. If you have a USB SIM card reader and a good SIM Recovery Program then Retrieving Deleted Text Messages should be a walk I the park. Visit the link below to learn more about recovering deleted text messages and to download some Free Software...

How To Repair The Acer D2D Recovery

This tutorial can also help to do it on other computer brands

Disclaimer : First of all you must be aware that some of the operations to come can cause irreversible change on your hard disk, I recommend to you and I will never make it enough make a backup of your system before launching you in any hazardous operation. Any damage and/or modification done on your system will be under your whole responsibility. The following procedures were done on a Acer Aspire 5102wlmi and some also functioned on a Dell Inspiron 9400/1705.

As you know, the Acer computers and those of other manufacturers are now delivered with a system of restoration installed in a hidden partition of your hard disk. This system launches out while pressing keys ALT+F10 simultaneously. And sometimes for various reasons this system ceases functioning.

How To Repair The Acer D2D Recovery

The first cause often comes owing to the fact that function D2D Recovery is disable in the bios (menu principal).

The solution : enable the function and try to press keys ALT+F10 during the starting of the computer.

The second cause : in this case hidden partition PQSERVICE was erased or damaged, or you replaced the disc and in this case it is not present.

The solution : If you did not previously make a backup of your system by making an image disc. It will not be possible to use the D2D recovery. Your only hope will be to have in your possession Acer Recovery CD/DVD.

And the third causes : the Acer Master Boot Record (MBR)was damaged or replaced by non-Acer MBR. As long as partition PQSERVICE is present or that you can put the hand on the necessary Acer files you can reinstall the MBR of Acer.

The solution :

First method : on a functional Windows system:

1 disable the D2D recovery option of the bios.

2 open a Windows session with an account administrator.

3 Download, unzip and launch partedit32(registration required for download).

4 Identify the Pqservice partition by its size (at the bottom of the partedit window there is a partition information box) it is a small sized partition approximately 2 to 6 Go.Once made change the type of your partition into 0C and save. Restart and open a session with an administrator account, you should be able to navigate to the PQservice partition. Seek these two files mbrwrdos.exe and rtmbr.bin once localised open a command prompt and launch this command mbrwrdos.exe install rtmbr.bin, this will install the Acer MBR. Close the command prompt window restart again Windows go into the bios and reactivate the D2D recovery. Now ALT+F10 should launch Acer recovery at the starting of the computer.

Second method : On a nonfunctional Windows system.

For that you must use a Linux distribution (for me Mandriva provided all the tools necessary).

1 Boot on the Mandriva install CD/DVD the boot menu will give you the possibility to repair or to restore the Windows boot loader.

2 If that is not enough launch an installation of linux(this will be an occasion to test this terrible OS) and choose LILO as boot loader(a boot menu that allow you to choose between several operating systems) once finished the installation. Restart your computer in the boot loader menu system you will have at least 2 Windows options the first generally point to PQservice choose it and you will boot directly into acer D2D recovery.

The last solution is the simplest one, just note that during the Linux installation you will have to resize your Windows partition to create a place for a new Linux partition it is the most perilous part because irreversible, therefore take your precautions at this time.

Data Backup Suggestions

I think that data backup is a system administrator's most important function. You need to lose your data just once to convince you that I'm right.

Your backup medium (disk, tape, etc) must be

(a) removable and
(b) transportable.

Data Backup Suggestions

When evaluating backup solutions, remember that speed of disaster recovery is most important, followed by ease of following a backup routine. The last factor that you should worry about is media (tape, CD-R, disk) costs.

You must routinely verify that the data can be read from your backup media (tapes, DVDs, etc). Most backup programs allow a tape verification to be performed after each tape is written to. The downside is that it almost doubles the duration of the backup window and increases wear on the tape and drive. Whether you verify each backup, or only weekly backups, you must verify that your tapes can be read.

You'll need to decide whether your data is valuable enough to encrypt its backups. The downside to encryption is that at restoration time, you must know the password.

You must keep some backups off-site, to allow recovery in case your on-site tapes are stolen, crushed, flooded, or burnt to a crisp.

I recommend that you maintain three generations of tapes: Grandfather, Father, Son.

The sons are written to each evening, the fathers are written to each week, and the grandfathers are written to each month. I recommend that you save each month's backup. At the end of the year you'll have twelve tapes -- one for each month of the year. (Try to restore a fraction of the data, just to ensure that the backup media is readable.) Store these in a safe place, in case you ever need to restore old data. Besides, when disaster strikes, Murphy's Law says that your first backup tape won't work when you try to restore from it.

Sometimes the monthly and weekly tapes contain full backups and the nightly tapes contain just incremental or differential backups. Keep in mind that your goal is to recover from a disaster as quickly as possible, so maybe it makes sense to backup everything every night. Your mileage may vary.

Store your off-site tapes well away from your site. Many small businesses give their monthly backups to a manager to keep at home. Larger businesses contract with services that transport their off-site tapes to secure storage facilities.

As you put together a disaster recovery plan, plan on the worst-case. Don't assume that disks will always spin up or that you won't need to resort to a computer's humble diskette drive. Check yours now. I'll bet that most diskette drives in older computers no longer work . . . and good luck finding cleaning kits for them!

Why backing up files is necessary but not sufficient

Although up to date backups of your files are important, they're not sufficient to recover from a server system disk crash. In order to use your backed-up files, they must be restored to a working server, and if the server won't run because its system disk has died, you're still out of luck.

A recovery from a server system disk crash includes re-installing the server operating system (Unix, NetWare, NT, etc) -- if you have the server operating system's install disks and license numbers. If not, you're out of luck. (You may also be out of business.) You'll also need software drivers for any special hardware and then you'll need to configure them.

A good alternative is to have a standby system disk ready that is a bit-by-bit image of your server's system disk. When (not if) the server's system disk crashes, replace it with the standby system disk, then restore your data files from the lastest backup set, and you're back in business.

Why redundant hardware isn't a substitute for a backup system

Maybe you think that because your programs and data reside on redundant hardware such as RAID that you don't need tape backup. Wrong. Redundant hardware protects you from hardware failure, but does not protect you from software failure.

Sometimes bad data, corrupted files, or program faults don't appear for days or weeks until someone tries to access them. Your redundant hardware won't help; you need to restore damaged files from a backup that predates the data corruption. No problem -- if you're following the grandfather - father - son - tape rotation scheme. So bite the bullet and stock up on tapes now.

Tape Libraries

Eventually, businesses outgrow hand-fed tape drives. The next step is tape libraries. (Visualize a jukebox that handles tape cartridges instead of records.) They're pricey, require tape library software, and take time to configure, but once in production with the right software, they handle the nightly backup chores unattended. Perhaps once a week or once a month, someone must attend to the library for an hour or so, to remove archival tapes and feed it fresh meat . . . er, tapes.

What's my favorite tape medium? DLT. By a mile.

One Method of Data Recovery from a Dead Hard Drive

Here is the situation. A laptop comes to us with a dead hard drive. Unfortunately, the user needs some files off the dead drive. After much research on the internet and a couple of data recovery quotes we decide to try and recover the information ourselves.

Luckily for us the drive won't spin up at all. I say luckily because the usual problem is that the circuit board on the bottom of the drive went bad. That doesn't mean that something else isn't the problem, but replacing the circuit board is the simplest thing to try.

The first thing needed is another hard drive. That may sound easy but it isn't. You need an identical hard drive, and by identical I mean the same model number, part number, firmware, everything. In our case we had a Hitachi Travelstar hard drive that had three numbers to match. The important numbers were the model number, part number, and MLC number. I believe the MLC number has something to do with the firmware revision but don't quote me on that. After speaking with Hitachi I was referred to a company called CueTech. They specialize in finding "hard to find" or obsolete computer parts. The wanted to charge between 0 and 0 for the drive, which I thought was reasonable for the work required to find one. Instead of using them I decided to search on my own and after two days, still had not found another drive for sale that met my needs. We then started looking in house for similar laptops and found one that had an identical drive. Now we were in business.

One Method of Data Recovery from a Dead Hard Drive

Now that we had our drive, we needed to protect ourselves because the user wanted their machine back in working order. So before we started any kind of surgery we made a ghost image of their hard drive. After waiting the 20 minutes or so for the backup to finish we began the surgery. First we removed the hard drive from the working system and laid it on a static pad with the circuit board up. We then used a T-5 Torx drive to remove the screws securing the circuit board to the hard drive. Your drive may need a different size or style of screwdriver. We then repeated the process on the bad drive. We put the circuit board from the good drive onto the dead hard drive and placed it back in the laptop. It booted! As soon as we new it worked we then setup the system to make a quick drive image. After waiting another 20 minutes we had a drive image of the bad hard drive and our data was recovered.

To finish the process we had to put the circuit board back on the original good hard drive and verify that it was working correctly. Once that was completed and the laptop returned to its owner, we installed a brand new hard drive in the system that had the original issue. The last step was to restore the drive image to the new hard drive, verify that it worked, and give the laptop back to the owner.

The Acer D2D Erecovery 101

Disclaimer: First of all backup your system before launching you in any hazardous operation, some of the operations to come can cause data loss. Any modification and/or damage done on your laptop will be under your responsibility.

As you know now the Acer laptops and those of other manufacturers are now delivered with a restoration system installed in a hidden partition (PQservice for Acer)on your hard disk. Normally this system launches out while pressing simultaneously keys ALT+F10, but sometimes that does not function.

What's the problem?

The Acer D2D Erecovery 101

There are many possible causes, but most common are:

A The function D2D was disabled in the bios.

Solution: Enable the function by pressing F2 during the boot to access the bios menu and change the setting, then reboot and press keys ALT+F10 during the starting of the laptop.

Note: For all the following solutions take into account the Max advice, I quote Max now, a contributor in my site «But I want to mention the way I sorted out the thing, because it's very rarely mentioned on the web. All the methods to repair the D2D Alt+f10 issue are knowledgeable and smart but all of them forget to say a fundamental thing:
first of all you have to rebuild with a partition soft the D:Acerdata FAT32 empty partition that almost everybody deletes cause is usually empty. Simply doing it, everything turned fine and the recovery worked perfectly.»

Yes much of attempts to restore fail because of this condition.

B An other common problem the Acer Master Boot Record (MBR)is damaged, or replaced by the MBR of another system. You can reinstall the Acer MBR if the partition PQservice is present or if you can have access to the necessary files.

Solutions:

FIRST

On a functional FAT32 Windows system the partition table values are OC or OB for installable FAT32 system files and 12 or 1B for Hidden FAT32 partition, for a NTFS system the known partition table values are O7 for installable NTFS files system and 27 for Acer custom hidden NTFS partition:

1. Go in the bios and disable the D2D recovery option.

2. Download partedit32.

3. Identify the PQservice partition by its size (there is an information box at the bottom of the partedit window) it is the small sized partition approximately 4 to 9 Go.Once made change the type of your partition into 0C(FAT32) or 07(NTFS) and save. Reboot and now you should be able to navigate inside the PQservice partition.

Search for these two files:

mbrwrdos.exe

rtmbr.bin

(The name of these two files can be different sometimes)

When localized open a command prompt windows as an administrator and enter this command "mbrwrdos.exe install rtmbr.bin", to install the Acer MBR. Close the command prompt, reboot again your laptop, reactivate the D2D recovery in the bios. Now ALT+F10 should work and run the Acer Erecovery when the laptop start.

SECOND

Somebody who tried to follow the first method but did not succeed to find the 2 files found another solution to restore the partition.

Use partedit32 to locate the partition pqservice(on aspire 5920g,its the larger 9 gb partition)

Change the partition type to 07(Installable NTFS),reboot.

After reboot,go to the windows computer management and mark the PQservice partition as active then reboot again.

Voila!! You can now proceed to the road to recovery

THIRD

On a nonfunctional Windows system.

Download the Ultimate Boot CD(UBCD) run it choose in the menu:

-Filesystem Tools

-Boot Managers

-For me GAG functioned well, but you can choose any of the other boot loader, you will recognize the PQservice by it type(hidden).

Just install any boot loader and use it to boot into the PQservice to start the Erecovery restoring process.

C The last problem: You replaced your hard disc( in this case PQservice is not present any more) or your partition was erased or damaged.

Solution: I hope that you burned the Acer restoration CD/DVD when it had been asked to you at the time of the first use, cause if you did not previously make a backup of your laptop by making a disc image, it will not be possible to use the Acer Erecovery.

Let us give the last words to Max:

«Problem Sorted Alan. And you're right that an external drive for data backup it's all important. Yes I have it and backed-up my data before starting messing up... »

A List Of The World's Best Modern Fighter Jet Plane In 2011

A fighter jet plane is a military jet plane configured mainly for air-to-air fight with other jet plane, as contrary to a bomber, which is configured mainly to approach ground targets by firing bombs. Fighters are fast, small and maneuverable. Several fighters have secondary ground-attack abilities, and a few are dual-rolled as fighter-bombers; the term "fighter" is also sometimes used conversationally for devoted ground-attack aircraft. Fighter jet planes are the basic means by which armed forces acquire air superiority over their opponents in combat.

Modern Fighter Jet Planes:
Modern fighter jet planes are predominantly powered by one or two turbojet engines, and are furnished with radar as the basic technique of target acquisition. Armament consists primarily of air-to-air missiles with cannon as backup armament (usually between 20 to 30 mm in gauge); however, they can also often employ air-to-ground missile, as well as guided and unguided bombs.

List of main fighter jet planes currently being used by several armed forces is shown below;
EF 2000 Typhoon
F-117A Night Hawk
F-15C Eagle
F-16C Falcon
F-18E Super Homet
F 22A Raptor
Harrier GR9
Mirage 2000-5
SU 27 Flanker
Tornado ADV Mk3

A List Of The World's Best Modern Fighter Jet Plane In 2011

The Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor is fast, has a long range, and is more maneuverable than any other jet in the sky.

The World's Best Modern Fighter Jet Plane

The F-22A Raptor is a fifth generation modern fighter jet plane which employs stealth technology of fourth generation. It was earlier projected as an air superiority fighter for use against the Soviet Air Force, but is furnished for electronic warfare, signals intelligence roles and ground attack as well.

Features

First view/first kill in all surroundings- A combination of improved sensor capability, improved situational awareness and improved weapons allows first-kill chance against the threat. The F-22 owns the advanced suit of sensors that allow pilot to chase, identify, and hit the threat before it finds the F-22. Important effort is being put on cockpit figure and avionics fusion to improve the pilot's situational knowledge. Sophisticated avionic technologies provide the F-22 sensors to accumulate merge and display necessary data in the most valuable format to the pilot.

Decreased observables- Progresses in less-observable technologies allow importantly improve lethality and survivability against ground to air and air to air threats. The combination of F-22's decreased observability and supercruise emphasis the advantage of surprise in tactical surroundings.

Ultrasonic persistence- Especially in the military (non-afterburner) power, the F-22 engines create more drive than any current modern fighter engine. This feature provides the F-22 to expeditiously cruise at ultrasonic airspeeds without utilizing afterburner (supercruise). This ability greatly booms the F-22's controlling envelope in both range and speed over current modern fighters jet planes which must use afterburner to control at ultrasonic speeds.

Expanded maneuverability- The F-22 has been broadly tested, refined and designed aerodynamically on the demonstration and validation process and paired with high-maneuver capability. The advanced F-22 aerofigure and high thrust to weight allows the capacity to outmaneuver all projected and current threat aircraft.

Improved battle radius on interior fuel- To check the F-22 allows air superiority for rich-interdiction aircraft, it functions at medium and high elevation at ranges superior to modern generation air superiority aircraft.

Increased survivability and lethality- The above features provide an interactive effect that assures F-22 casualty against sophisticated air threat. The combination of supercruise drastically and reduced observability shrivels ground-to-air combat and downplays threat potentialities to occupy and hit the F-22.

Air to ground ability- The F-22 has another purpose to attack ground targets. The fighter jet will use on-board avionics for navigation and weapons delivery support and will be able to bearing 2 x 1,000 lbs Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) inwardly.

'SMART - Status Bad - Backup and Replace' Hard Disk Error and Recovery

Physical hard disk failure refers to the condition in which data stored in the system becomes inaccessible due to hard disk malfunction. A hard disk is comprised of several mechanical and electronic components. But when these components get affected due to external factors like high intensity magnetic waves, sharp impact, temperature, water or fire, they get physically failed. Also, internal issues like wear and tear, low material quality and poor composition cause hard drive failure. In such cases, Hard Disk Recovery service can come to rescue and recover all lost data.

Hard drive failure is not instant in some cases. The modern hard drives come with an advanced technology known as S.M.A.R.T. (Self Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology). It is a proactive warning system that monitors the hard drive health on the basis of certain parameters and generates reports and warning messages on finding any fault. These parameters are sometimes denoted as hard disk reliability factors, such as temperature, excessive bad sectors etc. So, if a hard drive is anticipated to fail, SMART gives error message as:

"Pri master hard disk: S.M.A.R.T. Status Bad, backup and replace"

'SMART - Status Bad - Backup and Replace' Hard Disk Error and Recovery

Explanation

By master hard disk, error refers to the one, which is being primarily used by computer system to store data. The above warning suggests that users are required to immediately backup all data and replace the failing hard drive with a new one. Hard drives may go bad due to mechanical component failure, electronic faults or firmware corruption.

But in most of the cases related to physical failure, users may need to opt for Data Recovery service to recover their lost files. It can occur due to two basic reasons:

o Backup failure
o Ignoring the S.M.A.R.T error message

Hard Disk Recovery Service

It is a specialized component level service provided by recovery experts to recover data from physically failed hard drives. The processes involved in Hard Disk Recovery start with detailed analysis of the failed hard drive and chalk out suitable recovery procedures accordingly. A physically failed hard drive gets dismantled in sterile lab environments of Clean Rooms and technical procedures like repairing or replacing disk internals, disk cloning, shifting the platters etc. are applied. Data Recovery service experts can recover data in all cases of failures including those which S.M.A.R.T. can't detect.

Stellar Information Systems Limited offers industry's leading Hard Disk Recovery service through Class-100 Clean Rooms. We have been providing recovery service from more than 16 years. The advanced recovery service is provided for almost all makes and models of hard drives as SCSI, SATA, EIDE and IDE including server hard drives and SSDs (Solid State Drives).

How To Set Up A TV Satellite Dish And Sky Digibox To Watch English Channels Such As BBC And ITV

Hardware Requirements:

I am assuming that you have the necessary equipment as detailed in my previous article about 'How to get the equipment to watch English TV in Europe'.

You need:

How To Set Up A TV Satellite Dish And Sky Digibox To Watch English Channels Such As BBC And ITV

A TV (preferably one with a SCART socket)
An ex-rental Sky Digibox that has already been used in the UK
A dish of the appropriate size (see my earlier article and astra2d.com for a size guide) with LNB
Co-ax cable
A Sky viewing card or Freeview card
Necessary fixings to mount the dish
Mounting the dish

The satellite we are looking for is Astra 2D 28.2E. This located at 28.2 degrees East of South. Let me tell you why setting up the angle and elevation is very important and has to be done very carefully. Astra 2D is in a geostationary orbit, which means it appears to be stationary when seen from the rotating earth.. The normal height for a geostationary satellite is 36,000Km and the satellite is only 8m tall and just over 2m diameter, it actually looks like a tin of baked beans with the lid open! So the alignment of the dish has to be done very accurately.

I cannot help you too much with the exact angles you need as they vary depending on your location. Here in the Southern French Alps a compass bearing of 150 degrees with an elevation of 34 degrees are the figures required. In Bucharest in Romania a bearing of 177 degrees and an elevation of 39 degrees would be required. Looking on the internet, particularly on ex pat web sites for your area, will normally reveal the magic numbers.

So mount your dish where you like, it does not need to be on the roof as it does not work like an aerial. It just needs a clear path between it and the satellite, no trees or buildings. The steepness of the angle surprises a lot of people, in the type of dish where the LNB is supported on an arm attached to the bottom of the dish, the 'beam' angle we are interested in is roughly parallel to that arm. Set the elevation to the correct value and leave the bracket slightly loose so that you can turn the dish from side to side. Using a compass, point the dish at a compass bearing you have (150 in my case). You will not get it right first time, but the closer you are, the less danger of finding the wrong satellite there is.

Getting it all working

Now, connect the dish to the box an the box to the TV and switch on the power.

Warning: The dish cable carries a small electric current, so never connect or disconnect it while the box is live; otherwise some of the electronic components could be damaged

Do not worry if the remote control does not react immediately - after switching on the power the Digibox can take several seconds before it will respond. On the remote control, press Services, then press 4, then 6. This will display a Signal Test screen. Ignore the Signal Strength and Signal Quality bars for the moment. You should however have something in the Signal Strength bar. (If you do not, you have a faulty connection on the way to the LNB).

Place the TV where it can be seen while manipulating the dish, move the dish until the zeros change to 0002 (Network ID) and 07d4 (Transport Stream). The change will be quite sudden so go carefully to avoid swinging the dish too far. The Lock Indicator will also change from 'Not locked' to 'OK'. The value of 07d4 is usually the case but you might encounter others, particularly if you are trying to get a signal in southern Europe. However the Network ID must be 0002, otherwise you are pointing at the wrong satellite.

Finishing off the setup

As soon as the Network ID and Transport Stream values change from zero, a digital signal is being received. Clamp the dish, then press the Backup button on the remote control 3 times to return to the normal screen. Now wait until the box has finished getting the program data.

If after aligning the dish, you get a signal but there is interference on sound or vision, it is almost certainly caused by the dish elevation or direction being slightly out of alignment. Move the dish very slightly and carefully and watch the Signal Quality bar on the Signal Test screen for the greatest value. Anything over about 50% should give good reception.
